Potash One (TSX:KCL) announced today that it has started a feasibility study on the Legacy potash project in Saskatchewan. The study will be completed by SNC-Lavalin Inc. and expected to be completed by mid 2010.
Paul F. Matysek, President and CEO of Potash One is quoted as saying:

In recent months, plenty of headlines have been garnered by several intrepid and well-financed potash exploration juniors that are vying to muscle-in on Saskatchewan’s lucrative potash mining industry. That uber-financier Robert Friedland is now the chairman of one of these mining juniors adds further sizzle to the emerging Prairie Potash Rush.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan, Inc. POT, dipped but not for the count. Fertilizer giant Potash has put forth weaker earnings than analyst’s forecast. For the year Potash cut their full year profits to $4 and $5 a share, compared to initial estimates of over $7 a share.

On June 15th Western Potash (CVE:WPX) reported their second well drilled at the Milestone property in southern Saskatchewan returned results they believed were not indicative of the actual potash deposit on their property.
