BPC declared no Potash Deal with India

Belarussian Potash Co. denied that it had agreed to supply the soil nutrient to India at a below-market price of $460 per tonne and said the two sides were still in negotiations over price. For full story, click here

Intrepid Potash Q2 Profit Dipped 24%

Fertilizer maker Intrepid Potash Inc posted a 24 percent dip in second-quarter profit, hurt by lower demand. Chief Executive Bob Jornayvaz stated: Potash sales volumes continue to be at reduced levels as dealers showed greater hesitancy to refill their inventories and to take on price risk during the second quarter.
