The National Farmers Union is looking forward with jaded eyes at an invitation from the Competition Bureau to discuss proposed fertilizer company mergers which include five largest North American fertilizer companies that is Agrium, CF, Terra Industries, Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. and Mosaic Co. that had combined 2007 profits of $3 billion and combined 2008 profits close to $10 billion, after a similar meeting last year ended in a merger.
